Hot Take: Celebrating 5 Years of Trusted Texas Journalism

I can hardly believe it, but it’s been five incredible years since we launched The Texan.

As we celebrate this milestone, I find myself reflecting on just how far we’ve come and the impact we’ve had on the Texas political landscape.

When we first started this journey, our goal was simple: to provide Texans with the unbiased, reliable news coverage they deserve.

Today, I’m proud to say that we’ve not only met that goal but exceeded it in ways I never imagined possible.

Over the past five years, The Texan has become the go-to source for trusted journalism in Texas politics.

We’ve earned a reputation for delivering in-depth reporting, breaking news, and insightful analysis on the issues that matter most to Texans.

From legislative battles over issues like constitutional carry and property taxes to wild election results, our team has been there every step of the way, providing our readers with the information they need to stay informed and engaged.

And our podcasts and newsletters have grown in popularity as our reporters excel at explaining the news and complex policy issues in a way that’s easy to understand but also have fun in the process.

(By the way, keep your eyes peeled for a video podcast releasing tomorrow with clearly the best person The Texan has interviewed to date!)

But none of this would have been possible without the support of our loyal readers and supporters.

Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or just recently discovered The Texan, your continued encouragement and engagement have been instrumental in our success.
