Hot Take: Learn Where Your Lawmakers Stand on Issues

When I was in the Texas Senate, I was always frustrated when fellow lawmakers forgot who they were accountable to — the people who elected them!

And that’s one of the many reasons I started The Texan – because there needed to be a news organization that reported facts, not rhetoric, so Texans can know where their elected officials truly stand on issues and policy.

In addition to our daily reporting of fact based news, on January 24, The Texan will host the 88th Session Kickoff  where our reporters will moderate panel discussions with our state lawmakers on their plans for the upcoming legislative session.

Topics will include:

  • Public Education and School Choice
  • Child Gender Modification
  • State Affairs and Separation of Powers
  • Border and Immigration
  • Abortion After Dobbs
  • Election Reform
  • Energy and the Grid

General admission tickets to the event are now available, and I would love it if you could join us just a few blocks north of the Texas Capitol at the Texas Spirit Theater in the Bullock Museum!

For this all-day event, tickets are $75, but if you subscribe to The Texan, you’ll get a coupon code to get a ticket for only $35.
