We are excited to announce the endorsement of Tarrant County Tax Assessor Collector Ron Wright.
Wright has been a public servant in Tarrant County for over three decades, serving as a member of the Arlington City Council, a weekly columnist for the Ft. Worth Star Telegram, and a long-time GOP leader and delegate to the Republican National Convention.
In his endorsement, Mr. Wright offered his support stating, “Konni Burton is ready to take on the Democrats and restore conservative principles to Tarrant County. She’s built the wining team, the grassroots are behind her and she’s won the vote of so many in Tarrant County. We need to all unite behind Konni Burton, and take Senate District 10 back from the Democrats.”
Wright’s endorsement is the first significant Tarrant County endorsement since Burton’s strong first place finish in the GOP primary on March 2nd. Burton’s campaign stands alone in the GOP runoff in being able to engage and excite voters, and has used a wide network of volunteers to run an impressive grassroots campaign.
“It’s exciting to have Ron’s support,” commented Burton. “Tarrant County has benefitted from his steadfast leadership for over 30 years. He is not only a public servant, but works day in and day out to help improve education for Tarrant Co. children and improve the lives of our most vulnerable citizens. Ron’s mission as our Tax Assessor/Collector has been to provide our essential government services in a cost effective manner, and I look forward to working with him to take that same approach to Austin.”
