In his endorsement, Senator Cruz commented, “I’m proud to endorse my good friend Konni for State Senate. She’s a tireless, unwavering warrior for the conservative cause. Konni is a fighter and will serve the people of Texas well. I urge voters in her district to support her.”

Cruz’s endorsement comes during the critical early vote period during the GOP primary. In a crowded field of five, the Burton campaign has distinguished itself in generating grassroots enthusiasm. Burton recently scored a victory in the critical Tarrant Co. Straw Poll and has gained endorsements from Tarrant County GOP leaders and leading Texas conservative groups like Texans for Fiscal Responsibility and Young Conservatives of Texas.
