“I think I’m for sure a more ‘Hillary’-type candidate.” My Democrat opponent actually made that statement.
While trying to bolster her liberal bona fides against a self-proclaimed socialist in the recent Democrat primary, my opponent proudly aligned herself with Hillary Clinton. Don’t take my word: watch the video yourself.
This is the same Hillary Clinton who flippantly said you could put a huge number of Republican voters in a “basket of deplorables” during her failed presidential campaign. If you’ll remember, from behind a podium with her campaign slogan “STRONGER TOGETHER”, Hillary went on to say these Americans were “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, islamophobic, you name it.”
Racist. Sexist. Homophobic. Xenophobic. Islamophobic. Wow.
Even knowing this, my Dem opponent held up Hillary as a model for her run at Senate District 10.
Now, Hillary is demeaning women everywhere who rejected her failed vision for America.
At a recent overseas event, Hillary unbelievably said, “We [Democrats] do not do well with white men and we don’t do well with married, white women. And part of that is an identification with the Republican Party, and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”
Really, Hillary? Women just vote the way they are told? What an insult to strong, independent women everywhere.
Hillary even went on to say, “I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product. So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward. And his whole campaign, ‘Make America Great Again,’ was looking backwards.”
Translation: Hillary believes that the people who voted against her have less value–economically and culturally–than the people who voted for her. Nevermind that Texas would rank 10th in the world in gross domestic product if it were its own country and has the best people in world living here!
I think it’s time the local press actually does its job and asks my Democrat opponent if she stands by Hillary’s assessment of Republican voters and women. They’ve let my opponent’s repeated assertion that public charter schools are covertly re-segregating our community go unchallenged, so I won’t hold my breath on this one.
I’ve been an authentic, independent conservative voice for the taxpayer down in Austin and after we win in November, I’ll continue fighting for property tax relief, the rights of the unborn, and against illegal immigration.
Oh, and maybe someone should tell my Dem opponent that Hillary lost Senate District 10 in 2016.
